How We Got Here
Founded in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, we started as a small wine tour operation covering Napa Valley, Sonoma, Russian River Valley, and the surrounding wine country. Our founders — passionate sommeliers and travel guides — believed that wine tourism should be intimate, educational, and deeply personal.
A pivotal trip to Chile changed everything. Our founders were stunned by the quality, diversity, and sheer untapped potential of Chilean wine — and by the warmth of the people and the drama of the landscape. Within a year, we had established our first Chilean operation, based in Santiago with tours running into the Maipo and Colchagua valleys.
We expanded beyond the classic routes, building relationships with boutique producers in Casablanca, Curicó, and Maule. Our small-group model — never more than 8 guests — allowed us to access wineries and cellars that simply don't open their doors to large tour operators. This became our defining edge.
As the natural wine movement swept the world's attention toward Chile's ancient southern valleys, we were already there. We developed exclusive relationships with producers in Itata and Bío-Bío — some of the most exciting winemakers on the planet — and began offering tours to regions most visitors had never heard of.
Today we operate across all nine of Chile's great wine valleys, from Aconcagua in the north to Bío-Bío in the south. Our team of certified sommeliers and local guides brings over two decades of wine tourism experience to every tour — and our California roots mean we understand exactly what international visitors are looking for.
What We Believe
We cap every tour at 8 guests. Not because we have to — because it's the only way to do this properly. Smaller groups get better access, more time with winemakers, and a more honest experience.
Our access to Chile's finest producers comes from 15+ years of genuine relationships. We're not booking through a portal — we're calling friends. That's why our guests get into cellars and barrel rooms that no other tour company can offer.
Wine can be intimidating. We believe it shouldn't be. Our guides are certified sommeliers who love sharing knowledge — but they'll never make you feel like you don't belong at the table.
We started in Napa and Sonoma. We understand what world-class wine tourism looks like. We brought those standards to Chile — and then Chile taught us something even better: warmth, generosity, and a glass always full.
Our Roots
In 2002, we launched our first tours from San Francisco, covering the Napa Valley, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley, and the surrounding wine regions of Northern California. Those early years shaped everything — the way we approach hospitality, the importance we place on education, and our belief that the best wine experiences happen in small groups with knowledgeable guides.
California wine country taught us what world-class wine tourism looks like. Chile taught us something more: that the world's most exciting wine stories are still being written — in ancient valleys, by winemakers who haven't yet been discovered by the mainstream.
We bring both perspectives to every tour we run.
